Stay Here Bodhisattva
Mixed Media — collage, photo, fabric remnants on wood panel
12 x 9 inches
2020
At the beginning of the pandemic, there were no masks to be found. So I started sewing masks. After a few months of mask making, I had quite a collection of fabric remnants. I was inspired to use the fabric remnants to make this art to explore some of the ways that I stay in the present moment. Sewing is a meditative process for me. Being in the present moment is a tool I often use to soothe my soul when I’m in fear. A yoga practice is another way I cultivate an open heart so my energy may align with Divine Spirit and receive guidance and awareness.
